So first, I start off in the morning with a nice breakfast of pears and pond water. I don't know why, but the water was strangely delicious. Then I noticed that everyone got water from the same pond (the one by a museum), so I'm hoping that they fill up pitchers of water instead of...*gulp*...drinking it like animals in the wild. I took a COLD bath by the waterfall. And let me just tell you, I'm going to eventually BUY a bathtub, but for now I'll just plant trees around my favorite spot to bathe (western edge by the cliff+shallower than other parts=bathtub). I was lucky enough to have brought one of my fabrics to use as a towel. I would've had to throw rocks at the tailors' window!!
It was quarter to 8, and so I started to attempt at fishing. It wasn't by brightest moment. I caught maybe a carp, a black bass, and a tire. Then I got REALLY bored and started to go around with my shovel hitting the rocks. Then this really weird thing happened when I hit one and MONEY FELL OUT!!!!!!!!!!!! I kept hitting it (probably like, 7 times) and I got MONEY!!!!!!! A grand total of 8,100 bells!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After that the clock chimed 8 times and I meandered on over to Tom Nooks (Lobo and I weren't planning to go to the city until noon). I bought a net and a blue lava lamp. I was hoping to find a table or refrigerator, but nope. How am I supposed to store stuff?? What if I don't have one by the winter and my water supply freezes over!?AIIIIEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Never the less, I decided to "socialize". I first talked to Merry, the newest member of Ayame, who is also craaa-zzyyyy.
Me: Hey Merry, welcome to Ayame! I'm Vala.
Merry: Thanks! I'm Merry.
Me: Cool. So uh, how are you doing?
Merry: Oh fine, fine. Wait, you're Vala, right? I heard a rumor going around that you and Lo-a friend-are going to do something devious to Alli! I was talking about it to my reading group, and we want in!
Me: Oh um...crap Well, Team Distortion isn't prepared to have anymore members. Sorry.
M: Team Distortion? I thought your team would be a little more...frightning.
Me: You'll have to put in a request through my department.
M: Yeah. Lobo's house is only a hop, skip, and jump away.
Me: Fine, if you want to join, go find Lobo and bring him to my house. I'll be waiting.
M: Great! Be right over.
So I waited and waited, and I'm thinking how long is this gonna take?? Then I hear a strange knock on the door, it was like "dee-do-do--de-da" and then I heard Merry say "nectarine" in a hushed tone. I was laughing when I opened the door, but I almost screamed when I saw Merry and Lobo.
PEKOE HAD LOBO TIED UP AND HAD TAPE OVER HIS MOUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: MERRY!!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE??
Merry: He said he didn't want to come, so I-- *I saw Alli trying to listen in and pulled the two in and locked the door*
Me: Shhh!!! Do want the entire town thinking we're mentally unstable??
Mer.: No no, but I buried pitfalls around him, so when he fell in, I tied him up. Then he started to threaten to tell Copper the guard, so I taped his mouth.
Me: Uh-um... Lobo needs to be able to talk...so let me just carefully take it off...
Lobo: *rip* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: Merry! What did you do that for??!!
M: It would've hurt him more if you took it off slowly!
Me: Still, he's my co-captain, hence MY responsibility!
M: Sorry...
Me: Please go upstairs and wait for me and Lobo to make up our minds.
M: Cool guys! Later!
The conversation between me and Lobo:
Me: What do you think? Should we keep her?
Lobo: No way! She KIDNAPPED me!
Me: Which is exactly why we should get her! She can do all of the kidnapping, stalking, and dirty work for us!
Lobo: True. I'm very hard to tie up...*smirks and waggles his eyebrows*
Me: *with no expression* Super. But what do you think? Should we?
Lobo: Sure, why not. Call her down.
Me: MEEERRR-RRRYYY!!
So when she came down, we told her she could join. Then once she promised to keep our secrets, she started talking 60 mph about passwords, oaths, mottos, public speaking, and knocks. So this is what we came up with:

I don't think Lobo was entirely thrilled with the idea of turning this into a club sort of thing
After that, the clock chimed noon. Me and Lobo grinned and told Merry really quickly what to do (just somehow tie up Redd and blindfold him). And she also said that at home she had some extra jack-o-lantern helmets to disguise us. We used my blank pattern and carefully traced our emblem onto it. We even got assigned code names! I'm V-honey, Lobo is Moony, and Merry is Cashew. We then set off. I told everyone to put on normal clothes for the bus rides so that Kapp'n wouldn't get tipped off.
Once the city pulled into view, I got kind of nervous--we were committing a serious crime! But there was no way we could get caught! We were even wearing gloves with Alli's fingerprints! (Don't ask. Basically, I snuck behind the desk in town hall and rummaged through Alli's files during coffee break). But I still worried...
Everyone got their uniform on, then it was GO TIME. Merry talked about money and looking for a painting outside his door, and Redd came running out as if bees were chasing him. Merry tied him up and blindfolded him, and took him down the stairs by the grate. She gave me and Lobo the all clear signal, and we snuck into is shop.
He had a beautiful Dynamic Painting, and I had to resist taking it for myself, but Lobo must've read my mind and said "Good thing is this is probably a forged copy". That made me feel a little less nervous. He stood guard while I carefully removed one of my gloves and stuck my fingernail beneath the painting. I moved my hand around the edge, and after a half was loose, I pulled it clean out. I ran out and grabbed Lobo. I whistled to Merry and said "Cashew! It's time to go!" in a really low voice. She kissed Redd on the ear and ran away with us.
We changed in the alley way next to the HRA building. I changed into an airy Twinkle Shirt and Star Hairpin. I told them to meet my by the fountain as I signed up for the HRA.
